Over the last few weeks, this blog series has outlined what to expect when you become an IMS Client, including selecting your web design and domain, setting up social media accounts and starting your blog. While this next call could be the shortest of the meetings you have with your account manager, it could absolutely be considered one of the most important!
Part 5 of this series is about Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and how zeroing in on a few targets can help bolster your firm’s marketing success!
SEO: Google’s secret code for topping the search results.
Actually, as Google stated, mastering the art of SEO does not mean your account managers have “cracked the code” and can guarantee you the first site listed in all search results. They do, however, have experience and understanding of the best practice approaches that have consistently moved clients to Page One for appropriate key terms in organic searches.
The Essential Solution® is not simply a new website. During your design consultation, you discussed the practice areas you currently offer to clients as well as your desired direction. We have customized your website design and content to match the clients and practice areas you find most satisfying and rewarding to work with. SEO is the final step in narrowing down your focus so that more clients who need your preferred services call and come through your door.
Before the Call:
Your account manager will ask you to choose your top three preferences for:
- Practice Locations (geographically), and
- Practice Areas (the products or services you intend to offer).
Take some time to really think through what your strategy is and how you can create a blue ocean for the future.
- Is it better to come up on Page Two or Three of the search results for ten different services?
- Or would you prefer to be Page One for the two or three services that you really enjoy providing to clients who take what you do seriously?
What Next? It’s possible your homepage is ready to be revealed! You will work with your account manager to make any final adjustments, and our team will carry the approved design throughout the rest of the site. Our last meeting will summarize the services available to you each month and provide a maintenance “checklist” of our best practices within the Essential Solution® package.
